November 14, 2019Strict ties between Russia and the Donbass rebels are witnessed by new wiretapping between Russian officials and some separatist leaders. The conversations were published today by the Dutch-led International Investigation Team (JIT) on the Malaysian Boeing tragedy shot down in the skies of the Donbass at war in the summer of 2014. Phone calls date back to the weeks before the disaster in which 298 people died. The plane was shot down by a Russian-made missile.

The Malaysia Airlines flight 17 MH17 was in service on 17 July 2014 between Amsterdam, the Netherlands, and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and was shot down by a surface-to-air missile as it flew over the eastern part of Ukraine. All 283 passengers and 15 crew members were killed in the accident.
