Former Lebanese Finance Minister Mohamed Safadi has been agreed as prime minister of Lebanon, Lebanese media reported.

Media outlets close to outgoing Prime Minister Saad Hariri said the Future Movement and Hizbollah had agreed to name Mohammed Safadi as prime minister.

According to Mustaqbal Web site, which is close to Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri, former minister Mohammad Safadi has been recommended to form the new Lebanese government.

The source explained that this was during a meeting between Hariri and political aides to the Secretary-General of Hezbollah and the Speaker of Parliament.

Hariri and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ali Hassan Khalil and Hussein Khalil discussed the nomination of former minister Mohammad Safadi, but did not discuss either the form of the government or the participation of the Future Movement.
