Earlier this month, Facebook users on Apple's iOS devices discovered that the app was activating the camera in the background without their knowledge. Now, Facebook says that it has sent an update to fix this problem to Apple, and that the application after the update is now available for download from the Apple App Store (App Store).

The Verge tech site says the update has already fixed the bug, as its attempts to have the iPhone 11 Pro's camera fail to run in the background in either of the two scenarios where the problem has already been reported.

The problem appears to have been on iPhones running iOS 13.2.2, and older iOS users have not.

The problem first surfaced on November 2, and the company developed an update to fix it on the 8th of the same month, and then sent the update days later to Apple for adoption in its application store, indicating how quickly Facebook responds to the repair This flaw, which, if delayed in its reform, could have been a major new blow to its credibility in addressing the many privacy concerns that carry its burdens.

Facebook's reputation for privacy is of great concern to many who still believe that the social network is secretly recording what their users talk through their speakers on their devices.
