France, England, the Czech Republic and Turkey have qualified for the Euro-2020 on Thursday, while the defending Portugal will have to wait for their last match on Sunday.

The champions of the French world (22 pts), qualified even before playing against Moldova thanks to the draw of Turkey against Iceland in the late afternoon (0-0), have hardly beaten the modest Moldova (2 -1) to take the lead of Group H in front of the Turks (20 pts).

In the same way as England, which atomized Montenegro (7-0), and the Czech Republic, which overthrew Kosovo (2-1), France and Turkey join the six nations already qualified for the Euro (Belgium, Spain, Italy, Poland, Russia, Ukraine).

As France had validated before playing his ticket, it took time to start playing, precisely. Led in the 9th minute by the last Moldovans of the group, they equalized by Raphael Varane (35th) before waiting for the 79th to take the lead on a penalty from Olivier Giroud, his 39th goal in selection.

. England strolls towards the Euro

Unlike the French, the English did not meet resistance against Montenegro. Thanks in particular to Harry Kane's triplet, the Three Lions atomized their evening opponent (7-0).

With eleven goals in seven games, the Tottenham striker takes first place in the standings of these qualifiers, tied with the amazing Israeli Eran Zahavi.

Behind the British (18 pts) in group A, the Czech Republic (15 pts) also qualified thanks to its victory against Kosovo (2-1). Not without difficulty after being led by the young selection Kosovar, who remains at four lengths of the Czechs and said goodbye to his dream to reach the first final phase of its history.

. Ronaldo power 98

Winner against France in the final of the Euro-2016, Portugal is not yet qualified for the 2020 edition. But discarding 6-0 Lithuania, she took the path. Well guided, it must be said, by the ubiquitous Cristiano Ronaldo, author of his 96th, 97th and 98th goals in selection.

The Portuguese (14 pts), second behind Ukraine (19 pts) already qualified and sure to finish first in group B, must now win in Luxembourg Sunday to validate their ticket and defend their title continental, from June 12 to 12 July.

They remain under the threat of Serbia (13 pts), who laboriously remained alive by overcoming Luxembourg 3-2 and will also play his qualification Sunday, receiving Ukraine, and hoping for a misstep from Portugal and Ronaldo.
