Düsseldorf (dpa) - Despite the good economy, the over-indebtedness in Germany has been increasing for years. Almost one in ten could not pay their bills last year.
How the situation has developed in the current year, the credit agency Creditreform wants to inform in Düsseldorf. Experts reckon that the good situation on the job market could have eased the situation at least a little.
The highest level of over-indebtedness among the federal states last year was recorded with just under 14 percent in Bremen, followed by Saxony-Anhalt and Berlin. The lowest was over-indebtedness in Bavaria (7.43 percent) and Baden-Württemberg (8.31 percent).
