Arla has close to 10,000 dairy farmers in seven European countries. They are now offered a climate estimate of how much greenhouse gases each kilo of milk produces. Then an advisor draws up a plan of action for each individual farm.

The goal: Climate neutral production 2045

The background to the project is that Arla has a new goal of reducing total emissions by 30 percent per kilo by 2030 and working towards a completely climate-neutral production in Sweden in 2045.

One of the farms participating in the program is located in Ås in the municipality of Krokom. There Håkan Nilsson runs agriculture with some 60 boxes.

- When you find out how it works, most people are positive, he says of the program.
