The High Court sentenced the woman to four years in prison for murder. Uddevalla District Court had previously sentenced the sentence to two years in prison.
The prosecutor wanted the woman to be convicted of murder, but the court of Appeal agrees with the district court's judgment and believes that the act cannot be considered sufficiently gross.

" The reason for this is that the High Court considers it proved that there are doubts about whether the now-dead man was able to make a decision on the matter, since he was suspected of being demented.
