In Libreville, sixteen drawings of the Little Prince, the famous hero created by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry are presented. These unpublished drawings made on a notepad are exposed for the first time by Pierre Amrouche who lent them for the occasion to the French Institute of Gabon.

" These are drawings that were made in Algiers by my parents, by Saint- Exupéry , one evening when he was dining at home ," says African art expert Pierre Amrouche. He tells the beautiful story of these drawings made in 1943 and he is the heir: " He put himself at one point to scribble on the tablecloth paper. And then, my mother gave him his block and he made sixteen drawings of the Little Prince and it was a surprise. My parents always kept that. These are original drawings, because they were made by himself, from his hand. This is the first time I show them, like that, to a large audience . Other works by Saint-Exupéry were found earlier in the year. These sketches belonged to a real estate mogul .

The African art expert and writer Pierre Amrouche residing in Togo is pleased to present some drawings present during the exhibition: " We see the Little Prince sitting on his tiny planet. He is surrounded by stars. We see The Little Prince who has his snail on a leash and you have others on the side where we see on his little planet, all alone ... A little lost in the stars. There he is on his planet, his hands a little in his pockets ... A little lost ... ".
