240 parliamentarians voted in favor of this decision.
As noted, according to the law, before January 1, 2024, Ukrainian citizens and legal entities will be able to acquire ownership rights to such land, as well as, exceptionally, citizens or companies, including foreign ones, who have been using Ukrainian lands for at least three years ( rent).
Earlier, the press secretary of the President of Ukraine, Yulia Mendel, commenting on the relevant bill, noted that foreigners have better control over Ukrainian land than Ukrainians themselves.
The EU emphasized that they support plans to open the land market in Ukraine, which "could reveal the huge potential of the Ukrainian economy."
