“It is too early to say, we are now focusing on preparing for the Norman format,” the Kremlin representative quoted RIA Novosti as saying.

As noted, in this way he answered the question of whether a meeting of the heads of state is possible before the summit in the Norman format.

Earlier, the first president of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, proposed organizing a meeting between Putin and Zelensky in Kazakhstan. According to him, Zelensky has already given his consent "on a one-on-one basis."

After that, Peskov commented on Nazarbayev’s proposal, noting that the Kremlin was grateful to Nazarbayev and greatly appreciated the efforts of partners from Kazakhstan, but “meeting for the sake of the meeting will bring little benefit”.
