In a letter addressed to the Minister of Culture Vladimir Medinsky, the legislator, referring to media reports, notes that on November 21 in the French capital they will sell under the hammer the archive of one of the leaders of the White movement during the Civil War, Admiral Alexander Kolchak.

The collection has about three hundred lots: letters, books, photographs and other artifacts, which, as Vlasov points out, are of historical value to Russia.

“Such collections should be in domestic museums, and not kept by private collectors. For my part, I fear that this priceless archive will forever be lost for future generations, ”the text of the appeal says.

To return the archive to Russia, Vlasov asked the Ministry of Culture to find the necessary funds for its acquisition.

It is noted that the funds necessary to participate in the auction can be borrowed from subsidies for domestic films, which, according to the parliamentarian, do not have such cultural and historical value as Kolchak's documents.

In March of this year, it became known that Alexander Rostislavovich Kolchak, the grandson of Admiral Kolchak, who lived in Paris, died in the 86th year of his life.
