SVT's mission review reveals this week that the hunt for minerals has increased in Sweden. In more than 600 locations, operators and companies have sought permission to investigate land. At least one third are foreign companies.

A foreign company came there

When entrepreneur Jonas Grahn found gold north of Klavreström in Uppvidinge municipality, it was not long before he was visited in the area by a British company.

- Then we knew they had an interest in Vetlanda and Uppvidinge municipality, we bribed the area because we wanted to get ahead of them, says Jonas Grahn.

"Affecting the environment"

Jonas Grahn mowed down an area of 40 hectares, which means he has the exclusive right to look for gold in the area for a few years. But it is unclear if gold will begin to break gold in the area for several reasons.

- First we have to prove that there are enough minerals to do something. Although there is enough gold in the mineral, we may not do anything anyway. The guests who come to our facility are naturally interested and if you break gold, it affects the surroundings, ”says Jonas Grahn.
