Menlo Park (dpa) - The use of software to detect hate speech on Facebook has reached a new peak. In the third quarter, 80 percent of the content deleted because of this was automatically identified by the online network itself, says Facebook itself. In the first quarter, the value was still at 68 percent. Facebook had after criticism the use of software for detection of hate speech and hate greatly expanded. The bi-annual report also showed that Facebook deleted 1.7 billion fake accounts in the past quarter.
