The Biysk authorities lifted the emergency regime, which was introduced due to the accumulation of garbage and the deterioration of the sanitary and epidemiological situation in the city.

This was the official website of the city hall.

“In Biysk today at 15:45 (11:45 Moscow time) the emergency mode was lifted in connection with the normalization of the sanitary-epidemiological situation,” the statement said.

It is clarified that under the emergency regime, thanks to municipal contracts, more than 60 tons of municipal solid waste were removed from seven container sites in three days, which turned into landfills due to the reduced frequency of garbage collection by the regional operator.

Earlier, the business ombudsman for ecology and nature management Ildar Neverov, in an interview with the NSN, commented on the report that the level of non-payments for garbage collection by legal entities in Russia is from 65 to 70%.
