Emmanuel Macron on Wednesday greeted the memory of Raymond Poulidor, legend of the French cycling, who will remain "forever yellow jersey in the heart of the French" by "his exploits, his panache, his courage".

"Raymond Poulidor is no longer his exploits, his panache, his courage will remain engraved in the memories. + Poupou +, forever yellow jersey in the heart of the French," wrote the head of state on Twitter, in tribute to Poulidor, died Wednesday at 83 years old.
