The Central African Republic, which dreams of a first participation in the CAN, has not missed its debut in these qualifying with a promising success against Burundi (2-0).

The first scorer of the CAN 2021 qualifiers is Vianney Mabidé and plays in the Egyptian championship at Al-Ahly. The Central African striker wasted no time on Wednesday 13 November to open the scoring in the fifth minute against Burundi. It will be imitated at the end of the game by Louis Mafouta who gives a definite advantage to his team (94th).

In front of the Swallows, without Saido Beraino, who had participated for the first time in the final phase of the CAN 2019 in Egypt (last of Group B with 0 points), the Fauves, deprived of their captain Geoffrey Kondogbia (injured in the thigh) , showed that they had reserve even in the absence of the Valencia player.

For the men of François Zahoui, former coach of Côte d'Ivoire, who have the ambition to qualify for the first time at the CAN, this victory is important for the rest of the playoffs when we know that the next opponents are called Morocco and Mauritania. These two teams will face each other Thursday at 19h (UT) in Rabat.

For the second day, the Fauves will go to Nouakchott to challenge the Mourabitounes next Tuesday.
