This was reported by the Carter Center press service.
"Former US President Jimmy Carter was admitted to the hospital at Emory University tonight (November 11 - RT) to undergo a procedure to reduce intracranial pressure caused by bleeding due to his recent falls," the statement said.
The procedure is scheduled for November 12 morning.
The center specified that Carter's condition is satisfactory, his wife is with him.
On October 25, Carter was discharged from the hospital after treatment for a pelvic fracture resulting from a fall at home.
In May, Carter underwent surgery after a hip fracture.
