The issue of state ownership in Telia has been hot since the EU today approved Telia's acquisition of Bonnier Broadcasting, with TV4 and C More.

- I have nothing against the deal, but that the state should own both SVT and TV4, we see that as a big problem, says Elisabeth Svantesson to SVT News.

Svantesson now calls for the government to do an immediate analysis of what the state needs to retain from Telia's assets.

- Now you need to do a proper analysis. There is infrastructure that is important for society, but the rest, what has to do with the media market and services, where the state should sell the shares.

- The state should not be a major dominant player in the media market.

Even the Swedish Democrats believe that the government should now quickly review the state's ownership of Telia.

- Everything is now being forced as the deal gets approved and you are faced with the fact, says Mattias Bäckström Johansson, Swedish Democrats' spokesperson on state ownership issues.

Bäckström Johansson will this week call on Business Minister Ibrahim Baylan (S) to the Industry Committee, so that the minister can give an account of how the government views the issue and the process going forward.
