It was in August that several unit managers and administrative staff at the Functional Support Administration in Karlskrona Municipality alerted about an unsustainable work environment, in an anonymous letter. A week later, a new letter came in which 20 unit managers chose to sign with their names in an open letter.

In connection with the criticism, the management ordered a survey of the working environment. It is now conducted by a legitimate psychologist and psychotherapist, and was completed at the end of last week, which Southeastern was the first to report on. All unit managers have been interviewed as well as a small number of administrative staff regarding their experience of the work environment. It has since been compiled in a written report.

20 unit managers feel that their working environment is poor by the total 28 managers interviewed. "An alarmingly high number of unit managers are experiencing problems around their social and organizational work environment," the report states.

These include workload, communication, leadership and the culture of the administration, which are the root causes of the poor work environment, according to the survey.
