The fir bark drill attacks are almost twice as large this year as last year.

- This shows that the situation remains worrying and a serious threat to Swedish forestry, says Director General of the Forest Board Herman Sundqvist in a press release.

Together with Södra Skogsägarna, the Swedish Forest Agency has invented over 500 reference properties in Götaland. Surveys have also been sent to forestry companies in central Sweden.
