“The search is continued,” TASS quotes the words of the representative of the Search and Rescue Service of St. Petersburg.

On the eve of the Investigative Committee of Russia, a criminal case was opened about the murder after a man was picked up from the Moika River in St. Petersburg with two female hands and a traumatic gun in his backpack.

Oleg Sokolov, Associate Professor of St. Petersburg State University, is suspected of murder. Presumably, his victim is a 24-year-old girl who studied with a scientist and was a co-author of a number of his scientific works.

Later, lawyer Alexander Pochuev said that Sokolov confessed to the murder of the girl and issued a confession.

During the search for the victim in Moika, remains were found that do not belong to the deceased girl.
