The idea has been for several years with the municipality's cultural and sports administration on building an obstacle course and this year the decision was made to get rid of it. Next week, the roundabout in the Rocklund Forest begins a two kilometer long trail which will be presented with several different obstacles next year.

- This is a way for us to get more in motion, to activate more. We are thinking of young people and young adults, but we know that 40-plus people are also interested in this. We hope that the obstacle course with the entire range of different ages and it also tend to be relatively equal among those interested in such training, says Karin Spets, the municipality's outdoor recreation strategist.

"Will be beginner friendly"

The obstacle course will start at the outdoor gym and have electric lighting. The administration has developed 14-16 different obstacles, but exactly how many will be built in the next year is not yet decided.

- There will be as many as the economy allows, but we will be able to add more obstacles later if the money is not enough, says Karin Spets.

Some challenges you can expect are the dipwalk, also known as the armpit, tunnels to crawl through and a repamp to get across. Some of the obstacles are built in two versions, one lower and one higher.

- It will be beginner friendly, some obstacles will have aids, such as footsteps or ropes if you need it to cross, says Karin Spets.

The cost of the obstacle course is taken from the administration's investment offer in 2019 and will cost SEK 800,000. The cost of the obstacles themselves is taken from the investment budget in 2020 and is expected to land at approximately SEK 1 million.
