by Tiziana Di Giovannandrea 10 November 2019The 12-hour award permit from the Bollate prison was granted because the report acknowledged its change, its positive path, its awareness, maturity, reliability. For all this there was the granting of the award permit, issued by the Surveillance Court of Milan, for Antonio Cianci, the 60-year-old lifelong man who yesterday stabbed a 79-year-old man in the underground parking lot of the San Hospital for robbery Raffaele and forty years ago killed three carabinieri in Melzo during a check. And it wasn't even his first murder, since at the age of 15 he killed a night watchman, Gabriele Mattetti, 29 years old.

The "12-hour" permit was granted on the basis of a rule that provides for the assessment of good conduct and absence of social danger.

Bonafede has investigations
Meanwhile, Justice Minister Alfonso Bonafede, after what happened, immediately gave a mandate to the Inspectorate to carry out preliminary checks on the Cianci affair.

In old killer acts 'lucid and ruthless'
From the court documents of the time, Antonio Cianci was a ruthless and lucid killer, who did not hesitate to shoot "behind", to the face and "heart" of a person on the ground, and then to "rummage among corpses" to bring away the weapons to his victims, three carabinieri and a metronotte. This is the figure that emerges from the old acts on the 60 year old ergastolano sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder of the 3 carabinieri in '79. He was detained in the Bollate prison, now he is in San Vittore, waiting to be interrogated. The interrogation by the magistrate should take place not before tomorrow while the prosecutor is preparing to request the validation of the detention and custody in prison for attempted murder and robbery.

"He was rummaging over the corpses", a witness like this had described Cianci's behavior 40 years ago, immediately after he had shot the 3 carabinieri, Marshal Michele Campagnuolo, the pointed Pietro Lia and the carabiniere Federico Tempini, who had stopped him for a control. In '74, when he was still a teenager, he killed, also for robbery, the metronotte Gabriele Mattetti, 29, firing him a first shot "behind", and after the young man was already on the ground, two shots "to the face" and finally "one to the heart". And he stole the weapon that was found in the 15-year-old house hidden "in the back of an armchair in the living room".

Yesterday, when he attacked the man, he was wearing a San Raffaele servant's sweatshirt, which he had procured a little earlier. The 79-year-old (in hospital to visit a relative), according to what was reconstructed by the Police, when he found himself in front of him in the 'minus 1' floor of the hospital where he had gone in search of a coffee machine, given his attitude minatory, he decided to give him little money. And he hoped Cianci would leave. The 60-year-old, however, began to threaten him because he also wanted his cell phone and when he rejected him, he hit him near the jugular with a cutter. The same cutter that he threw, then, together with the phone, in a bin, as soon as he saw the agents approach him near the Cascina Gobba metro station.

Daughter of the ruled Pietro Lia killed in 1979: "Cianci an ignoble being"
Daniela Lia, daughter of the newborn Pietro Lia, was 6 years old when her father was killed. After what happened in the last few hours he commented that with the award permission another pain and an outrage to the memory was created because his was "mercilessly slaughtered" at 51, along with two other carabinieri, while he was doing his job, a service of control on the Provincial Road 14 between Liscate and Melzo. Antonio Cianci shot 5 blows at him, "but my father got up five times, fought as long as he could against him, in the end he had broken nails." A life sentence was not enough for "that being ignoble", said Daniela Lia, but he was "allowed" to create "another pain" in another family, "to trample and still outrage the memory of my father and his colleagues Michele Campagnuolo and Federico Tempini ". "When two carabinieri told me this news very gently yesterday - said Daniela Lia - I was shocked by the fact that this ignoble being, who was slaughtering mercilessly, allowed another family to live in pain. trampling and insulting, among other things, the memory of my father and his colleagues ". He immediately clarifies that he has "a lot of respect for the State", of being "very grateful to the Weapon for all the affection he has shown for our family in these years". He adds, however, referring to the award permission granted by the judges, that "this being should not be allowed to go around again creating pain". And he still says that his mother "never recovered from the death of my father, was forever torn by grief, had a stroke and died three years ago". Last night, explains Lia, "I passed it without sleep and the pain woke up again this morning."

Last Sunday, then, "there was a ceremony in Melzo" with carabinieri and citizens honoring those three soldiers who died in service in '79, to whom "a marble memorial was also dedicated in a park". Then, the news that that man "without scruples, or mercy, who killed to kill not for robbery", was allowed to strike again. Among other things, says the woman, three years ago, a month after her mother's death, Daniela Lia also suffered a theft at home during which the thieves "took away all my father's medals and memories, even his watch still stained with blood that my mother kept as a relic ". He also launched an appeal via Facebook to try to find those objects, while his friends also put up an online video to honor the memory of Lia. "I have received many gestures of affection and respect - he concludes - gestures that help me move forward".

In Bussero, in the Martesana area, in the Milanese area, in memory of the sacrifice of the three soldiers killed, a street was named after the 'fallen carabinieri'.
