“President Donald Trump will receive Secretary General of the North Atlantic Alliance (NATO) Jens Stoltenberg at the White House on November 14,” the statement said.

It is noted that at the meeting the parties will discuss the progress of the NATO allies in increasing defense spending and ensuring a more equitable distribution of contributions to the budget, the importance of strengthening NATO defense, deterring external threats, maintaining special attention in the fight against terrorism, as well as cyber threats.

Earlier, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said that NATO is always at risk of obsolescence.

As French President Emmanuel Macron previously reported, NATO is in a state of “brain death,” and Europeans can no longer count on US military defense.
