As the faction points out, one of the document’s norms provides that by December 31, 2019, draft laws on the regulation of media activities in Ukraine should be developed and submitted for consideration by the Parliament, including, in particular, provisions on news requirements and standards and on mechanisms to prevent distribution false, distorted information, its refutation.

“Having consolidated the“ news standards ”in the form of requirements at the legislative level, Zelensky’s team will have the opportunity to deal with any newspaper, any website, any television channel, any journalist. It’s impossible to turn Ukraine into an information concentration camp! ”- the party points out.

Earlier, the director of the mass media institute Oksana Romaniuk during the parliamentary hearings on the topic “Safety of the activities of journalists in Ukraine” stated that 208 journalists have suffered from the beginning of the year as a result of their professional activities.
