It was at the end of October that the London Natural History Museum announced that a newly discovered beetle would be named "Nelloptodes greta", as a tribute to environmental activist Greta Thunberg.

The beetle was found in Kenya as early as the 1960s and was donated to the Museum in London. The beetle was then "discovered" again by Dr. Michael Darby as he studied the collection, and it is he who determined the new name of the species. He is a big supporter of Greta Thunberg, and now he says he made his decision after seeing Greta's speech at the UN.

- It was incredible, he says.
