Young Russian Anna Shcherbakova, 15, won the China Figure Skating Cup, the fourth leg of the prestigious ISU Grand Prix, on Saturday in Shanghai, securing her place in the Turin Grand Final in December.

The teenager illuminated Chongqing's rink with a staggering 226.04 points, beating Japan's Satoko Miyahara by almost 15 points (211.18). His compatriot Elizaveta Tuktamysheva completed the podium (209.10).

Shcherbakova, who dominated the program the day before, offered a new recital in the free program to sign a second win of his young career.

With this success, she appears as the grand-favorite of the final of the Grand Prix of the season scheduled for 5 to 8 December in Turin.

"My goal was to qualify for the final and now, I need to refine my progrmmes, my jumps, with the aim of making everything cleaner and better," said Shcherbakova, a perfectionist.

The ice dance has crowned a Russian duo consisting of Victoria Sinitsina and Nikita Katsalapov, who signed the first victory of their career in Grand Prix.
