American Airlines Extends Boeing 737 MAX Flight Ban

American Airlines extended the ban on the operation of Boeing 737 MAX aircraft until March 5, 2020. The relevant press release is published on the carrier’s website.



"In accordance with the latest directions, American expects that the resumption of scheduled commercial maintenance of Boeing 737 MAX aircraft, part of the American fleet, will occur on March 5, 2020," the statement said.

The company emphasized that they are in constant contact with the Federal Aviation Administration, the US Department of Transportation and Boeing.
