“The reports of an allegedly drone American drone are incorrect,” the US Central Command (CENTCOM) press service said on its Twitter page.
It is noted that all American equipment is "registered" and if any unmanned aerial vehicle was shot down in the area of responsibility of CENTCOM, which primarily includes the Middle East and Central Asia, then it "does not belong to the Pentagon."
Earlier it became known that Iran’s air defense was shot down by an unidentified drone in the south-west of the country.
It was reported that the air defense was raised by alarm after the appearance of an unidentified drone in the vicinity of the port of Mahshehr in the Persian Gulf.
In July, the Iranian Defense Ministry denied statements by the American side about the downed Iranian drones.
