It is mainly Malung-Sälen municipality that stands out in the county. There, it has increased by 7.9 per cent in tenant-owner prices over the past three months. After that, Falun comes with its 5.2 percent. The average price for the entire county is SEK 19,159 / m2.

The average for the whole country is well below the Dalar's increase, more specifically at 3.4 percent.

Lack of housing cause

Ralph Blommé, who is a real estate agent in Ludvika, believes that the biggest factor in the increase for Dalarna is that there is greater demand for apartments, among other things.

- Almost nothing is being built, which is why there has been greater pressure when there is a shortage of tenant-owners. We have some catching up to do, but then it's generally because we're heading into a recession, ”he says.

Has the Dalarna become more attractive?

- No, I don't want to say that. Without it, a housing shortage has occurred. I can see nothing other than the fact that tenant-owner prices will rise and also increase slightly in the future.

Positive for the apartment sellers

Since housing prices are high, the future seems to be bright for the apartment owners, says Blommé.

- We sold an apartment for a million recently, but had it been a while ago we might have sold it for 950,000. So it's a boom period for the apartment sellers.
