European city par excellence, Strasbourg is resolutely committed to the defense of human rights and becomes, for a season, the capital of press design. Determinants in the fight for freedom of expression, cartoonists have become true defenders of rights.

Wanting to make their voices heard, Cartooning for Peace is celebrating the work of 37 cartoonists from all over the world, inviting them from 6 to 8 November at the Council of Europe in Strasbourg, as part of the World Forum for Democracy. The opportunity to address the issue of freedom of expression, the art of politically incorrect and all the difficulties that the profession must face, including social networks.

Cartooning for Peace is an international network of cartoonists committed to promoting, through the universality of press design, freedom of expression, human rights and mutual respect between people of different cultures or beliefs.
