The alarm about the fire came in to SOS Alarm just before two o'clock on Thursday afternoon. The fire started on the fireplace in a villa and spread to the construction of the house. The rescue service is in place with 20 firefighters working on the scene. Police are also in place.

- We are there with smoke divers, says Michael Olsson, alarm and management operator at the Rescue Service Greater Gothenburg, at 14.30.

According to the rescue service, a person was in the house when the fire broke out. The person was treated by an ambulance nurse on site.

Lillhagsvägen is closed in connection with the fire.

- As traffic increases, we will let go, says Johan Karlsson, alarm and management operator at the rescue service Greater Gothenburg.

Shortly after 15 o'clock, the fire had been extinguished. The emergency services are currently working to expose the structure to ensure that there is no incandescent fire.

- We will probably be there three more hours and then monitoring overnight, says Johan Karlsson, at 15.30.
