According to the Malaysian fire department, after 10:30 am on the 7th, a report was received at Kuala Lumpur International Airport that there was a possibility that the radioactive material was leaked. It means that radioactive material was detected from one.

The baggage contains what appears to be a medical device and was sent to Kuala Lumpur by freight from Borneo.

The package is transported to a national agency that specializes in radioactive materials for detailed inspection.

In response, Kuala Lumpur International Airport has suspended some operations at the cargo terminal and evacuated staff, and will resume operations as soon as safety is confirmed.

So far there is no impact on passenger flights.
