The US Department of Justice has accused two former Twitter employees of transmitting user data to Riyadh.

This was reported by The New York Times.

It is noted that charges were brought against Ahmed Abuammo and Ali al-Zabarah. The first is a U.S. citizen, the second has Saudi citizenship.

It is clarified that according to the US Department of Justice, they transmitted to Riyadh data about users who criticized the Saudi royal family.

It is also reported that this is the first time that a Saudi citizen has been charged by the federal authorities as an agent of a foreign power.

On May 24, WikiLeaks commented on the new U.S. Justice Department allegations of Julian Assange.
