The goalkeeper of Tottenham and the French team, Hugo Lloris, was finally operated on the left elbow he had fractured and dislocated in early October, but his return to training is expected in early 2020, announced Thursday the English club.

"After further clinical tests and exams, Hugo Lloris was operated on his left elbow," the Spurs wrote on their website.

"The surgery was advised after consultation with specialists who found that the elbow remained unstable," says the club, which states that Lloris "remains on the way to a return to training early next year ".

The captain of the Blues had been seriously injured after a fall back where he had tried to catch up by extending his arms behind him, in a league match against Brighton.

The doctors at the London club had initially preferred not to resort to surgery.
