Dubai Health Authority (DHA) has confirmed its keenness to provide early intervention for the care and rehabilitation of children with developmental delays and those with special needs in the age group from nine months to six years.
Dr. Latifa Al Rostamani, Head of the Family Services Advisory Office at the Authority, listed the services provided by the Authority in the field of interdisciplinary assessment of developmental delays, various disabilities, including speech delay, large and fine motor skills, and social communication, which may be due to disability. She stressed the importance of early detection of health problems in children, to get the best treatment opportunities, and to avoid negative complications of the situation, pointing to the need for a comprehensive assessment of the situation of the child immediately after the discovery of the delay, to determine the extent to which it can be integrated in general education schools with peers of the same age, as much as possible With the least amount of educational support, in cooperation with educational institutions and kindergartens.
Al Rostamani pointed to the privacy enjoyed by the Early Intervention Center as a community center attached to Al Mizhar Health Center, stressing the Authority's keenness to give all the privacy factors to the clients and relatives of the Center, including children and their parents.
