November 06, 2019 Unicredit, "in line with its strategy of disinvesting in non-strategic assets", sells the entire 8.4% market share it holds in Mediobanca. The institute is the first shareholder of Piazzetta Cuccia.

The accelerated book building will start immediately. BofA Securities, Morgan Stanley and UniCredit Corporate & Investment Banking are Joint Bookrunners. As part of the mandate, UniCredit requested inclusion in a diversified order book and pledged not to interfere with the assignment of the shares. UniCredit is committed to supporting real economies in its various markets. The proceeds of the sale will be reinvested in the development of its clients' assets, a note reads.

The Mediobanca share sold by Unicredit, for the current stock market prices, is worth about 800 million euros. Piazzetta Cuccia today closed at 10.78 euros.
