The American president said that Erodgan informed him about the capture of the militants of the Islamic State * , among whom were the wife and sister of the head of the Islamic State Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.

“They also talked about their border with Syria, the fight against terrorism, the termination of hostile relations with the Kurds and much more,” Trump added.

He also said that he was “looking forward to” meeting with the Turkish leader in the White House, scheduled for November 13.

On October 19, Erdogan, in a telephone conversation with Trump, expressed satisfaction with the implementation of the agreements reached to create a security zone in northern Syria.
