- A wonderfully varied profession. On Saturday you drive a wedding shoot and on Monday you are back in the woods again, says Sigvard Gustavsson, who is fully dependent on his work horses.

At his farm in Vittsjö, a group of prospective cousins are being teased in the art of handling a workhorse. They go to college to train at the horse center Wången in Jämtland but regularly practice several of the practical aspects of Sigvard, who has long been used to carry out all kinds of contracts with his grown-up horses.

From bridal couple to mowing

This can be anything from bridesmaids to shipping timber to the forest industry. During the summer months, they undertake mowing and mowing for several Skåne municipalities who, for environmental reasons, chose horses to maintain their parks and green areas.

- It may seem strange to train their future competitors, but the industry is growing rapidly and we need to be more people working with horses, Sigvard reasoned.

In the video Sigvard and some of his students talk about the joy of working with work horses.
