It was in September of this year that a police officer would pick up a firearm at the Karlskrona police station when he accidentally made a blind fire, of which the shot ended up in the wall.

The policeman himself has told the police authority that, without thinking of stopping, he stopped in a magazine in the weapon and would check that the sight was working. The police were alone in the weapons room and have stated that he was shocked by the incident.

A police report was established, but the Prosecutor's Office decided not to initiate a preliminary investigation.

Now the police receive a warning from the staff responsibility committee for the wet shot. The Board finds that he has been negligent but that the sanction may stop at a warning as the shot was fired in a weapons room.
