The actress Adèle Haenel "should seize justice", after accusing the director Christophe Ruggia of "touching" and "sexual harassment" as a teenager, said Wednesday the Minister of Justice Nicole Belloubet.

"She is wrong to think that justice can not respond to such situations," said the minister on France Inter, while welcoming the character "very courageous" this speech.

"I think on the contrary, especially with what she said, that she should take justice, which seems to me to be able to take into account such situations," she added.

The 30-year-old actress spent a long time at Mediapart on minor sexual assault, when she was between the ages of 12 and 15, who are not prescribed.

She also explained that she had never thought of filing a complaint, regretting "systemic violence against women in the justice system", and saying that justice "needs to be challenged to be representative of society".

Ms. Belloubet recalled that the government is trying to facilitate the filing of complaints, "including allowing women to file complaints in hospitals, allowing the complaint online."

The accusations of the actress prompted the immediate removal of Christophe Ruggia from the Society of Film Directors (SRF).

The person with whom Adèle Haenel shot his first film "Les Diables", recognized through his lawyers an "involuntary grip" as an adult and director, but "categorically denies" the accusations of violence sexual.

In this context, "there is almost a need (...) to ask this question to justice, so that things are treated clearly and objectively," Belloubet insisted.

"It will come out strengthened and the situation of the person who is involved also," she said, while finding it "difficult" that the prosecutor seizes himself of the case.
