The tense and truceless debate that the main candidates for the Congress of Deputies for the constituency of Barcelona staged on TV3 last night left a long string of reproaches for all parties, whether they came from friendly fire or political adversaries, and harsh words against the own regional chain and the director of Televisió de Catalunya, Vicent Sanchis , who served as moderator.

As it happened in the debate prior to the last general elections, the heads of the list of Citizens and the PP in the province of Barcelona, Inés Arrimadas and Cayetana Álvarez de Toledo , once again reproached the lack of neutrality and sectarianism that, in their opinion , transmit the messages propagated by the Catalan Audiovisual Media Corporation and some of the producers to which the Catalan public entity regularly contracts programming.

In his first turn of speech, Arrimadas defined TV3 as "a propaganda machine" and "an infamy" in which "violence is justified." The liberal candidate returned to exhibit a letter of resignation for Sanchis - in April she delivered it live - to whom she threatened the dismissal in case of reaching the Government: "Do not make us apply the 155 because the first thing we are going to do is stop him. " Arrimadas reminded the presenter that he is "disapproved by the Parliament" and that he charges "a salary of 110,000 euros."

In his first speech, Álvarez de Toledo also directed some darts to the Catalan public chain: "They have paid eight million euros to a producer [Minor Absolute] who calls the Mossos d'Esquadra 'fucking fucking dogs. Only in one matrix degraded until delirium things like that happen. " Similarly, the popular candidate questioned the moderator of the debate: "You have been prosecuted for October 1 and here it continues."

The two heads of the list by Barcelona reproached the presence of yellow ties in the Televisió de Catalunya studios. Upon arrival at the facilities, Álvarez de Toledo tore several plastic ties tied in the railing of a staircase and deposited them in a bin. Also, Arrimadas showed during the debate one of those ties, which had also taken off inside the building, which is why he described the public entity as "sectarian".
