- Many Helsingborg citizens have complained about how the vehicles are parked, says Helsingborg City Traffic Manager Oscar Grönwall.

As recently as a few weeks ago, the City Planning Board decided to tighten the rules regarding the use of the electric scooters.

Fines and suspension

On Wednesday, Voi and the City of Helsingborg met, which presented their expanded declaration of intent.

It involves a number of measures already known, such that individual users can be turned off and parking fines should be a possible measure.

Another new measure presented by the city and Voi is that parking spaces should be set up at two places along Järnvägsgatan in Helsingborg.

A fault parking will cost the user 250 SEK.

"Small group that misbehaves"

Eric André is Norden chief at Voi.

"It's a small group that misbehaves, they can be turned off from use," he says.

Oscar Grönwall says that the new rules for the use of the vehicle will start as soon as possible.

- It should be clear to the users, he says.
