• In addition to Swedish TV, this year's Vasa race is also broadcast live in the following 16 countries: Norway, Finland, Italy, the Czech Republic, Poland, France, Denmark, Latvia, Israel, Greece, Malta, Cyprus, Turkey, Australia, New Zealand and Canada.

• The lowest temperature at the start of the Vasaloppet in Sälen is -30 degrees C, it was measured in 1935 and 1987. The highest starting temperature, + 4.5 degrees C and was measured in 2015.

• Each skier in the Vasaloppet loses an average of three kilos during one race, which means that about 23,000 Vasalopper skiers are "missing" after all the 94 races.

• Body length also decreases during the race. The discs in the spine are compressed and the foot arches are pressed down. During the race the riders shrink by a total of 220 meters.

• Most Vasalopps have Börje Karlsson from Landsbro IF SK run: 59 races, but not in succession. (Börje has started in the Vasaloppet 60 times, but in 2017 he did not finish. However, he did so again in 2018.) 85-year-old Börje is registered for the Vasaloppet this year as well.
