Among those on the sanctions list are the Admiral of the Navy of Venezuela, representatives of the Bolivarian National Guard, the National Council for the Defense of Venezuela and the Constitutional Assembly, as well as a representative of the country's intelligence services.
At the end of September, the European Union imposed sanctions on seven members of the Venezuelan security and intelligence forces.
