"The Secretary of State and the Minister discussed the importance of unity of the Cooperation Council of the Arab States of the Persian Gulf against the destabilizing actions of the Iranian regime, which continues to incite hatred in the region," the statement said.
The parties also discussed other bilateral and regional issues, including Iraq, Syria and Lebanon.
Earlier, Pompeo had a conversation with the new Foreign Minister of Saudi Arabia.
