05 November 2019 Farewell to Homer Antonutti, actor, unforgettable voice actor interpreter of so many films starting from Father master of the Taviani brothers.

Born in Basiliano, Friuli Venezia Giulia, in 1935, he died on November 5 in a hospital in Udine where he was hospitalized due to the complications of a tumor that had struck him for some time, his wife at his side.

Known to the general public also for his activity as a dubber, over the years he has lent his voice to important international performers, including Christopher Lee, John Hurt and Omar Sharif.

Narrating voice in films like La vita è bella (1997) and The Craft of Arms (2001).

Among his interpretations: Padre padrone (1977); The night of San Lorenzo (1982); Kaos (1984); all of the Taviani brothers.

The activity of Antonutti since the seventies continued alternating cinema and theater with continuity: among the most intense films interpreted in the cinema we remember Farinelli - Voce regina by Gérard Corbiau, A bourgeois hero by Michele Placido, The bankers of God - The Calvi case of Giuseppe Ferrara and Tu laugh again of the Taviani.

Recent productions include the television series Sacco & Vanzetti , N (Io e Napoleone) , La ragazza del lago and, in 2008, Miracolo a Sant'anna .

Omero Antonutti is one of the most eclectic figures in the Italian art scene. He made his debut in cinema in 1966 with a small part in The Pleasant Nights with Vittorio Gassman, Gina Lollobrigida and Ugo Tognazzi.

Unforgettable in the role of the father of Gavino Ledda in Padre padrone of Paolo and Vittorio Taviani (1977).
