Shortly after three on Tuesday night, police would do a check on a car on the E4 at the level of Banarp. The driver then chose to try to drive away from the police.

- A persecution was initiated, which at times amounted to 200 km per hour, says Torbjörn Lindqvist at the police.

The hunt continued to Klevshult, south of Jönköping.

- There was an attempt to shake off the police by driving off the E4 and turning. The driver then drove north in the southbound field - towards the direction of travel.

No one was injured as there was not much traffic at that time.

- We had a police car that was behind the persecution that could stop and get a nail mat that the car drove over, then it didn't take long before the chase was over, says Torbjörn Lindqvist.

Did not have a driver's license

When the car chase was over, two men in their 30s could be arrested. They are both resident in Skåne and are suspected of, among other things, theft or theft and minor drug offenses.

- There were also goods in the car that we suspect were used, says Torbjörn Lindqvist.

The driver was also suspected of drunken driving.

- Then there is a whole pile of traffic violations against the driver such as gross illegal driving - he did not have a driving license.
