(M) and (KD) critical of Västerås agreement with the police

"A press conference and signing were done during a break, which made the opposition's views not welcome," a press release from (M) and (KD) said.

The Moderates and Christian Democrats are critical of how agreement with the police is designed. They feel that there are no concrete measures and commitments and feel that it is time to move from words to action.

- Västerås City's agreement with the police must be concrete. For example, the issue of order guards and clause 3 areas needs to be raised in the cooperation agreement to clarify what the western roses can expect, says Elisabeth Unell (M), opposition council in Västerås.

The Christian Democrats believe that another issue that needs to be clarified is how the city of Västerås together with the police works with camera surveillance.

- This agreement contains too unclear and too few concrete measures as it appears today. We want to do more to increase the security of the Westerners, says Samuel Stengård (KD), a substitute in the municipal council in Västerås.
