Until Friday, Europe 1 celebrates 30 years of the fall of the Berlin Wall with its creation "Behind the Wall", broadcast daily in your Grand Journal evening from 19:30 to 20h. Today, two blocks face-to-face.

All the week before the anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall, scheduled for Saturday, November 9, Europe 1 makes you relive history through an unusual retrospective: "Behind the Wall". The opportunity to relive the Cold War told through the archives of Europe 1, rich of 500 sound clips captured by the pickups of Europe 1 between 1955 and 1989 and which made history.

Five episodes are broadcast throughout the week between 19:30 and 20h in Nathalie Levy's Big Evening Diary, guided by the passionate comments of Sophie Larmoyer and Didier François.

The first episode, titled "Two Face-to-Face Blocks" was aired on Monday. He returns to the emergence of the two blocks, from the postwar period, on each side of the Iron Curtain: the Allies around the Americans and the communist countries of the Soviet bloc. It contains strong archives around the diplomatic acrobatics of the character Khrushchev, the suppression of the insurrection in Budapest or the building of the Wall in the night of August 12 to 13, 1961.
